Our Work
Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) 
Mbariro implements Teaching at the Right Level to address foundational learning gaps by grouping learners according to learning level rather than age or grade. Teachers deliver structured literacy and numeracy instruction targeted to learners’ actual skill levels, leading to rapid learning gains. 

Teacher Training and Coaching 
We provide practical, classroom-focused training and coaching to help teachers adopt TaRL pedagogy, formative assessment, and adaptive instruction. Support is ongoing and embedded in real classroom practice. 

Data for Action 
Mbariro supports schools to use simple, rapid assessments to diagnose learning levels and track progress. Assessment data is used directly to inform instruction and program decisions, rather than for compliance alone. 

Government and Systems Engagement 
We work with education authorities to align TaRL with national curricula and existing structures. Our approach prioritizes co-design, capacity building, and pathways for government-led scale.
